BOPP tape now is widely used in many fields, you can see everywhere. Now we will explain why it is so popular in detail.
BOPP tape is made from BOPP biaxially oriented polypropylene film as the base material. After being heated, it is evenly coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive emulsion to form a glue layer ranging from 8μm to 28μm. It is an indispensable item in the light industry, companies, and personal life.

Strong tensile strength
Due to the molecular orientation, the crystallinity is improved, and it has high tensile strength, impact strength, rigidity, toughness, moisture resistance, and transparency. The film also has high cold resistance, preventing leakage or breakage of products during transportation.
Good printing performance
It can be printed in single, double, or three colors. Printed bopp tapes can also print company logos and names to prevent counterfeiting and enhance brand awareness.
High transparency
BOPP tape transparent features high transparency, good gloss, high adhesion, smooth sealing, lightweight, non-toxic, odorless, safe, and offers good performance at a favorable price.
Superior performance
Its overall performance is superior to moisture-proof glassine paper, polyethylene (PE) tape, and PET tape.
Porosity of the adhered object
Due to the adhesive effect of the tape, the moisture in the adhesive on the surface of the tape rapidly dries after the tape is adhered, making the tape part of the adhered object. Therefore, the porosity of the surface of the adhered object is very important for tape selection. If the porosity is high or the absorbency is strong, a tape with a rapidly setting adhesive is required. Conversely, a tape with a slower setting adhesive or more adhesive content is used.
Initial tack and holding power
The quality of the tape's glue in use has two standards, one is initial tack and the other is holding power, which are inversely proportional. Generally, tape with tack below 10 is coated with less glue, usually only about 20 microns, such as stationery tape or ordinary promotional binding tape; the initial tack thickness of normal sealing tape is generally 22-48 microns.
Generally, yellow BOPP tape and khaki are more common. By pressing the tape and then quickly pulling it apart, you can see the purity and transparency of the original film, and also the thickness of the glue. If no glue is pulled off or it is pulled off in spots, it indicates that the glue contains a lot of impurities and lacks cohesion, or there is too much moisture and it has evaporated. At this time, the initial tack of this tape has significantly decreased and can be distinguished by touch.
BOPP tape is widely used in packaging and sealing, brand customization and promotion, surface protection, and industrial applications. It securely seals cartons and packages, improving transportation safety; can print brand information to enhance packaging aesthetics and brand image; effectively protects delicate surfaces from scratches and dust; and in industrial settings, it is used for bundling and fixing materials, with strong adhesion, tear resistance, and versatility, meeting various scenario requirements.
With its excellent physical properties and stable adhesive effect, BOPP tape plays an important role in packaging, sealing, and industrial applications. Choosing the right type of tape not only improves efficiency but also effectively ensures the safety of product transportation and storage.
